Packaging

The equipment must be packed and secured and/or cushioned to prevent any movement in strong rigid outer packaging, constructed of suitable material, of adequate strength and design in relation to the packaging's capacity and its intended use unless the batteries/cells are afforded equivalent protection by the equipment in which they are contained. 

Passenger aircraft:  Max. net qty per package: 5 kg.
Cargo aircraft:  Max. net qty per package: 35 kg.

“The maximum net quantity” is the weight of the batteries/cells inside of 1 package excluding the equipment.

  • Air Waybill statements
    • "Dangerous goods as per associated DGD" or "Dangerous goods as per associated shippers declaration" in the box "Handling information".
    • "Dangerous goods as per associated DGD - CAO" or "Dangerous goods as per associated shippers declaration - CAO" in the box "Handling information" (Only when CAO has been used).
